The altar practice brings a focal point to the exhibition space, centered upon a photo of Prof Eduardo Ibarra Colado and the handcrafted Recuerdos LAEMOS banner created by Building the Anti-Racist Classroom collective members in 2019 and dropped at EGOS 2019. Intentionally adorned with flowers, candles, and decorative materials, we commemorate both Ibarra Colado’s memory, legacy, and the ongoing story of remembering LAEMOS, its decolonial politics, and vision for international dialogue.
